Learning New Things: Air-Polishing & Biofilm Management
Training in Winchester Ontario
We brought the whole team together for an hour of education, conversation, and clinical learning but we didn't stop at the slideshow. After walking the team through the training, we headed into the operatory for the real fun: hands-on clinical application with a live patient.
The hygienist put the training into practice while we coached her through the process, answered questions, and provided guidance along the way.

The Challenge
Introducing something new into a dental practice can feel like a lot. There are new concepts to understand, new techniques to learn, and, of course, the big question: “Okay... but how do we actually use this with our patients?”
That's where this training came in. Our goal was to give the entire team a solid understanding of the approach, then take that knowledge from the presentation straight into clinical practice. This assures that every touch point that the patient will experience will be calibrated. Assistants, receptions, associates... not just hygienists.

Our Strategic Approach
We started with an hour-long presentation for the entire office, using a combination of slides, discussion, and real-world examples to walk the team through the training. The team learned about the clinical concepts, benefits, applications, and how everything could fit into their everyday workflow.
Then came the hands-on portion. We took the training from the conference room straight into the operatory, where the hygienist had a patient and was able to put the training into practice immediately.
Rather than simply demonstrating what to do, we guided her through the process in real time, answering questions, providing feedback, and coaching her along the way.
Learn it. Practice it. Try.
Key Results
Entire Team Trained: The entire office participated in the presentation, giving everyone a shared understanding of the training and its clinical applications.
Hands-On Clinical Experience: The hygienist was able to immediately apply what she had learned with a real patient.
Real-Time Coaching: Questions could be answered and adjustments made as they happened, making the training practical and personalized.
Increased Confidence: The hygienist gained experience applying the approach with direct guidance before taking it into her regular clinical workflow.
From Theory to Practice: The team didn't just hear about the process, they saw what it looked like in a real clinical environment.
