ODA Annual Spring Meeting (Toronto, ON)
Supporting Henry Schein at the Ontario Dental Association
Rovix Dental Hub was personally invited by Henry Schein Product Manager Samantha Wells to serve as an exclusive B2B Educational Partner at the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) Annual Spring Meeting in Toronto. Tasked with leading a dedicated booth, our mission was to provide education on advanced technology and chairside execution for Henry Schein’s newly launched UC500L unit.
Through live clinical education, we drove product awareness, demystified air-polishing technology, and trained both Henry Schein sales representatives and trade show attendees on the clinical and financial value of integrating evidence-based biofilm protocols into daily practice.

The Challenge
When planning the booth strategy with Samantha Wells, we identified a primary barrier to product education: trade show attendees needed to physically see and feel the UC500L in action to understand its value, but live clinical demonstrations present major logistical hurdles at events like this. The UC500L utilizes a precise mixture of air, water, and specialized powder to remove biofilm. While evidence-based and highly effective, improper aerosol containment during a live trade show demonstration creates a messy, wet environment that just might attract the attention of a janitor...
The challenge went beyond demonstrating the tech, we needed a strategic way to initiate meaningful conversations around the comprehensive methodology of biofilm management: Assess, Disclose, Educate, Air Polish, Perio Irrigate, and Scale. We had to visually prove the power of plaque disclosing to clinicians who were skeptical of shifting away from traditional rub cup prophy.

Our Strategic Approach
While initial planning considered installing a live water supply and sink at the booth, event venue logistics made this impractical. To overcome this, we engineered a mess-free, high-impact demonstration station using "Dexter", a specialized clinical training mannequin equipped with a custom internal drainage hose attached behind the oral cavity.
This setup effectively captured and drained all aerosols and water lavage generated during live air-polishing. By eliminating mess and equipment downtime, we created a hands-on station where passing dentists, hygienists, and sales reps could safely test the UC500L in real time. We also integrated a structured 8-step clinical workflow into the booth flow, utilizing disclosing agents on the mannequin to visually demonstrate how thoroughly air-polishing removes subgingival and supragingival biofilm compared to standard scaling and rubber cup polishing alone alone.
Key Results
Mess-free, live semonstrations: Executed continuous, multi-day live demonstrations of the full 8-step biofilm management workflow without a single aerosol or moisture disruption on the trade show floor.
High-volume attendee engagement: Hosted interactive, hands-on trials for hundreds of ODA attendees, allowing prospective buyers to experience the ergonomics and efficacy of the UC500L firsthand.
Sales rep enablement: Educated Henry Schein’s field sales representatives on key clinical talking points, empowering them to confidently communicate the science of biofilm management and address customer clinical -based questions.
Increased lead quality: Transformed passive trade show traffic into highly qualified, clinically informed sales leads for the Henry Schein team.
