Following the success of our initial collaboration at the ODA Spring Meeting in Toronto, Henry Schein once again selected Rovix Dental Hub to lead their dedicated biofilm education booth at the Journées dentaires internationales du Québec (JDIQ) in Montreal.
To ensure seamless execution in Quebec's premier bilingual market, Chantalle, an expert team member from Rovix Dental Hub, spearheaded the on-site clinical support. Leveraging her complete bilingualism and clinical expertise, Chantalle delivered high-impact education in both French and English over the two-day event.
Our goal was to drive regional awareness, eliminate barriers to tech adoption, and empower local clinicians to transition from traditional prophylaxis to guided, evidence-based biofilm therapy using Henry Schein’s UC500L system.

The Challenge
Introducing advanced clinical technology into the Quebec market requires navigating two distinct challenges: breaking deep-seated clinical habits and overcoming the language barrier in a fast-paced trade show environment. Dental teams are often hesitant to adopt air-polishing and lavage systems due to concerns surrounding patient discomfort, messy aerosol splatter, operational learning curves, and fears over abrasive powder damaging delicate enamel or root surfaces (Cavi-Jet).
For JDIQ, a central priority was proving the unique clinical advantages of Tagatose powder: a low-abrasion, ultra-fine (15µm) powder formulated for gentle, safe supragingival and subgingival debridement. To deliver true ROI for Henry Schein, they needed a fluent, fully bilingual clinical specialist on the ground. Chantalle’s mission was to engage French and English-speaking clinicians alike, demonstrate the ergonomic ease of the UC500L, and clearly articulate the 8-step biofilm methodology (Assess, Disclose, Educate, Air Polish, Perio Irrigate, and Scale) to highlight its clinical superiority over hand scaling alone.
Our Strategic Approach
Building on our proven trade show framework, Chantalle deployed our custom-built mobile clinical demonstration rig featuring "Dexter", a training mannequin retrofitted with an internal aerosol drainage system to ensure zero mess on the exhibit floor.
To vividly demonstrate the safety and power of tagatose powder, Chantalle brought quail eggs directly to the booth as an interactive testing medium. Because a quail egg’s shell has delicate, micro-thin outer pigmentation that instantly cracks or strips under aggressive abrasive forces, it serves as the ultimate real-world model for exogenous stainning. Chantalle invited visiting clinicians to air-polish the quail egg with the UC500L: the tagatose powder effortlessly removed surface pigment and stain without cracking or compromising the fragile shell structure.

Flawless bilingual engagement: Led by Chantalle’s fluent French and English clinical instruction, the booth maintained constant foot traffic and high engagement from local Quebec practice teams.
Proof of concept: The live quail egg demonstration visually proved the gentle non-abrasiveness of tagatose powder, giving skeptical dentists and hygienists absolute confidence in its safety for subgingival and restorative applications.
